Navy Veteran, beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, at the age of 66.
Born on February 27, 1959, in Arlington, Virginia, Carol lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. She was an avid reader who built her own home library to house her favorite books among the thousands she enjoyed. Carol also had a deep love for animals, especially horses, cats, dogs, and even a donkey. She was happiest with a book in hand, often perched on a stool on the patio or in the kitchen, surrounded by loyal dogs at her feet.
Carol is survived by her husband, Mike; her children, David (Heather) Baird, Paul (Jacey) Baird, and Ashley Zilko (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlynn, Caleb, Cadence, and Atley. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Kristi (Neil) Van Tuyl, Chester Crawley, and Martin (Patty) Crawley, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael; her parents, Chester and Kirsti Crawley; and her sister-in-law, Marcia Crawley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Adair Funeral Home, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85704. A celebration of life will follow at the home of Mike and Carol, 11570 W. Desert Wren Dr., Tucson, AZ 85743.
