Ephesians 6:11 NIV Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Debra Sue “Debbie” Turner, aka Ma Turner, went home to Jesus in the early hours of August 23, 2025. Debbie was born on July 3, 1954 to Glen “Pat” and Loretta Randall in Eugene, OR. Debbie grew up in Springfield and went to class enough to graduate from Thurston High School in 1972. During her senior year she met the love of her life, Ernest “Ernie” Turner and married him three months later, on August 19, 1972. Three years later they were blessed with their son, Kevin, and two years later blessed again with their daughter, Alicia.
Debbie loved the Lord and was active in her church. For many years she hosted weekly dinners, where many people fell in love with her cooking. She didn’t know how to make a small meal, there was always enough to share, and share she did. All kids were welcome and loved, just like her own kids. She would give out candy, but when you asked for a piece, she always replied, “No, but you can have two!” She lived her life demonstrating the love of Jesus with a great smile and sense of humor. She would strike up conversations wherever she was and everyone was a friend. Her smile was infectious and she had many stories to share to connect with others (like skipping school).
Her family were the most important to her. She loved having everyone at her house for holidays (heck, for any reason she could think of) and often dreamed of winning the lottery so she could have property big enough for them all to live there. Being a Nana was a dream she always had even before her kids were married. She was thrilled to have her two “favorite” grandsons.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ernie, her son Kevin (Genny), daughter Alicia, grandsons, Keegan and Quinn, sister Patsy (George), brother Don, nephew Alex, niece Ashley (Jonathan, Olivia and Emily) and many cousins.
A graveside service will be held September 4, 2025 at Lane Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 8th, 1 pm at Life Church at Wayside, 5297 B Street, Springfield, OR. Please wear Debbie's favorite colors to the celebration, pink and purple.

Lane Memorial Gardens
Just as every life is unique, every permanent memorial should be. Lane Memorial Gardens is renowned for offering more choices for memorialization than any other location, featuring a mausoleum, columbarium, beautiful statutes, and stunning views of the Willamette Valley. Established in 1953 in West Eugene, Lane Memorial Gardens spans 40 acres, featuring manicured lawns, natural areas, and captivating views of the Willamette Valley. Famous for its exquisite statuary and wildlife haven, the site is a fitting place for permanent remembrance. Recognizing the need for additional memorial options, we added a mausoleum and columbarium designed for above-ground casket and urn placement in 1983....
