Paul Harold Bastian

 Paul Harold Bastian passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Sacramento, CA, at the age of 78. He was born on September 5, 1946, in CA to the late Harold and Irvenia (Jacks) Bastian.

Paul served his country proudly in the US Army for four years, dedicating himself to the principles of service and sacrifice that define the military. His time in uniform taught him invaluable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and commitment to a cause greater than himself. Upon his honorable discharge, he transitioned into civilian life, ready to apply the discipline and work ethic he had cultivated in the Army.

After leaving the military, Paul found his calling in the construction industry, where he embarked on a successful 30-year career as a drywall taper. His expertise in this trade allowed him to contribute significantly to numerous projects, from residential homes to commercial buildings. He took great pride in his work, knowing that he was not only providing for his family but also helping to shape the communities around him.

Paul and his family made their home in the charming town of Sutter Creek, a place known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. They built countless memories in their tight-knit community, and Paul's dedication to his work and family became the cornerstone of their lives. His journey reflects not just a career path but a lifelong commitment to hard work and the values he instilled in his loved ones.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Tracie (Rafael) Morales of Sacramento, CA; granddaughters, Vanessa, Yesenia, Elizabeth, Rachel, Claire, and Sarah; as well as

great-grandchildren, Yael, Michael Jr., and Melanie. Paul is preceded in death by his son, Robert (Bob) Bastian. 

A private interment will take place at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
