Andrew Luke Vargas
October 18th, 1960 - August 18th, 2025
Andrew was born to Pete Vargas and Elvira Castañeda. He had one sibling Margaret Vargas. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Dondi Vargas, his children Andrew Vargas, Angelina Vargas (L.J. Smith) and grandchildren Braxton and Ariah Smith. Andrew is known for his positive outlook on life, bright smile and fun-loving personality. He loved to golf, spend time with family and friends and watch his favorite Colorado teams like The Denver Broncos and Nuggets. No matter what time of year it was you could catch him in his favorite sports gear. He was known for blasting his sports radio and favorite tunes. He loved to spend time with his grandkids, take them to their favorite places and spoil them. He was a prideful man who worked hard for his family. He enjoyed getting the family together for a good meal. Andrew endured a lot in his life, he lost his mom, sister and most recently his father. Over the last 15 years he went through various health battles. He bounced back each time with a will to live and just love for life.He loved to hang out with his cousins and golf or join in on a fantasy football league. He married into the large Mondragón family and was loved by his sisters and brothers in laws, nieces and nephews. He was a proud godparent to Nicole Anderson and Fabian Mondragón. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those he leaves to cherish his memory.
