Paula Marie Beck, 76, of Stokesdale, North Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 16, 2025.
She was born January 24, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Albert Brooks and Helen May (Spitsieris) Brooks.
Paula enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible, talking about her Lord, and she loved helping people, especially the elderly. She enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and cooking for her family and friends. Paula worked for Ponderosa Steakhouse for 25 years before working for Canterbury Court Retirement Home in Dayton, Ohio, retiring in 2022 after 22 years of service.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Brooks.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of ten years, Curtis Allen Beck; brother, David N. Brooks (Janie); sisters-in-law, Carla Brooks, Charlene Stone, Gloria Young, and Diane Arel (husband Bob, Jr.); brothers-in-law, Leland Beck and Danny Beck; special caregiver, Esther Lineberry; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of cousins and friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Paula’s family has requested donations be made directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or made directly to Good Samaritan Baptist Church, 844 Powhatan Avenue, Asheboro, NC 27203.
