Cody Terrell Kesler
April 15th, 1971 - August 28th, 2025
Cody Terrell Kesler Born on April 15th, 1971 @ the old St. Vincent hospital to Charlie and Donna Kesler. On August 28th, 2025, Cody passed on at the age of 54 and was the first organ donor at the new Presbyterian hospital in Santa Fe.
"Cody Bear" trained his 1st horse at age 13. He enjoyed rodeoing/bull riding in High School. Cody was self-employed as Kesler builders. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was also a rabid LA Dodgers and Buffalo Bills fan. Cody loved his Country, country music and in his youth heavy metal music.
Cody is survived by Mother Donna Italiano (nee Bailey) (Bob), Father Charlie Kesler (Debra), brother Jesse Kesler (Lucia), daughter Samantha (Sam), granddaughter Xenia Garcia, Aunt Darla Bailey (Mike), Uncle Tracy Bailey, Uncle Todd Bailey, Aunt Jeannie Kesler, Uncle Eric Kesler (Mary Jo), Aunt Teresa Dennis (Rusty), Aunt Tammy Kesler, Manny, Sherry & Yvonne Mandel, ex-wife Suzanne Johnson and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and his dog Abby. Also, dear friend and "second mother" Laura Kaiser and dear friend Beni-Leigh Baca.
He was predeceased by grandparents Tracy & Marion Bailey, George Kesler, Charlene Mandel (Manuel), Uncle Michael Kesler, Aunt Patty Bailey and cousins Debra Martinez and Morgan McNamara.
At a later date to be determined Cody's ashes will be interred in Taos and some will be spread at the Pecos River and in the Brazos.
