Our beloved mother Jan was called home to her Heavenly Father, passing peacefully from the earthly realm to a place prepared for her by her savior Christ Jesus. Jan was a loving mother, a devoted homemaker, an avid fisherman and diver, and a true friend. Jan was known for her generosity, her fun spirit, her sense of adventure, and for her expansive love. Jan's gift for gathering friends and family leaves a lasting legacy of community in the countless souls she has impacted.
Born Janet Sue Sisson in South Bend, Indiana January 13, 1946, Jan was raised in Columbus, Ohio graduating from West High School in 1964. Jan was wed to David Levering June 7, 1969, and moved to St. Petersburg in 1973. As a member of Maximo Presbyterian Church Jan served as a Deacon and a founding member of the Young Couples Club forming many lifelong friendships. As her nest emptied, Jan moved to St. Pete Beach where she shared sunsets on her porch with friends and neighbors alike. She went to work as a bookkeeper at Bay Point Middle School and later retired to Kenneth City. Jan joined Lakeview Presbyterian Church where she was a member until her death.
Jan is predeceased by her parents, Roger and Jesse Sisson and by her husband David Levering who passed away February 13, 2019, as well as by her sisters Bonnie Snider and Kay Godfrey.
Survived by her children and spouses Rick and Pam Levering, Rod and Krista Levering, her grandchildren: Taylor, Madison, Leighton, Landon, and Leo, and her great grandchildren: Brixton, Lennon, and Fallon. All of whom meant the world to her.
