 Judith A Landes, age 83 of Sarasota Florida, (formerly from Brookville, Ohio) passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, following an extended illness. She retired as a bookkeeper from Northmont Schools. She loved the outdoors, especially the water and ocean. She was an avid swimmer and taught many how to swim. She enjoyed playing golf and weekly card games with her friends. She was always up for an adventure. Kept busy volunteering with the social committee within her community and always willing to help others.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Douglas W. Landes Sr. and son Anthony J. Landes, and a very special friend Roger Spivack.

She is survived by son, Douglas W. Landes Jr. and grandchildren Todd (Ashley) Landes, John (Jeannie) Landes; great-grandchildren Logan and Emma Landes, Jaeden Lewis; brother-in-law Steve (Beth) Landes and many cherished nieces and nephews and many of her special friends in Florida and Ohio.

Judy will be remembered for her kindness, adventurous spirit, and the joy she brought to so many lives. She will be deeply missed.

A service of remembrance will be held on September 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Presbyterian Church, 4455 30th St. East, Bradenton, Florida 34203, officiated by Pastor Michael Borg.

Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery, 8207 Arlington Rd, Brookville Ohio after a brief service held at Gilbert and Fellers, Brookville, Ohio (date and time to be announced).

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church (Memo: Judy Landes Fund) and Tidewell Cancer, Florida.
