Penny Ann LaBud Turcotte. February 23, 1953 – August 31, 2025
Penny Ann LaBud Turcotte, born February 23, 1953, in Elmhurst, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly in a single-vehicle accident near Queen Valley, Arizona.
Penny was a loving mother, a loyal sister, a devoted friend, and someone who greeted life with warmth, humor, and kindness. She is survived by her two sons, Wayne and Brian; her daughter-in-law, Kelly; her sister, Suzanne; and her former husband, Wayne Sr. She often said her sons were her greatest accomplishment and spoke of them with immense pride.
Penny had a deep love for the outdoors—she found joy in camping, gardening, and savoring quiet mornings with a good cup of coffee. A passionate thrift store enthusiast (or as she fondly called it, “the junk store”), she had an eye for hidden treasures and a heart open to all creatures, great and small. Animals held a special place in her heart, and her friendly, down-to-earth nature made her a friend to everyone she met.
A lifelong Catholic, Penny requested that no formal services be held. Cremation and end-of-life arrangements are being handled by Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, a cause close to Penny’s heart, or to any local animal charity of your choice.
Penny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
