Margaret Adelle Klug

Margaret Adelle Klug was born in Chula Vista, California, on July 14, 1944, to Fred Gilbert Klug and Margaret Mae (Rumans) Klug. Her first job at Lenoir Home, in the Nursing Wing, inspired her journey into nursing. After qualifying as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1965 in Missouri, she moved to Denver in 1967 and remained at Children’s Hospital until her retirement in 2007. Her passion was the pre-mature babies for which she lovingly cared. Just sit with her a moment, and she would tell you multiple stories of specific babies by name. Upon retirement, Adelle explored ethnic foods and traveled with friends. Adelle died August 27, 2025, peacefully at Briarwood Health Care Center, where she had lived for almost seven years. She made friends easily among residents and staff and was well-liked. She was pre-deceased by both her Mother and Father and her infant sister, Carolyn Sue Klug. Her surviving family includes four siblings: Lydia (Klug) Sondhi of Cypress, CA; Mary Klug of Denver, CO; Fred Klug of Cabool MO; and Roy Klug of Higbee, MO. A Memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at Briarwood Health Care Center for staff and friends. Her ashes will be returned to Missouri to be interred alongside her parents and infant sister. A family Celebration of Life in Missouri will occur at a later date.
