Turner Davis Reaves, Jr

Turner Davis Reaves Jr (Dave) was born October 29, 1947, in Atlanta, GA. He was born to Turner Davis Reaves Sr. and Martha Francis Reaves. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Reaves and sister Marie Reaves.

Dave married Kathleen Diane Conrad on June 3, 1967. Dave and Kathi were together for 60 years, married for 58 years. They have two children, Turner Davis Reaves III (Cena) and Jodi Ketcham (Tom). They have two grandchildren, Cody Reaves (Michelle) and Tayah Reaves. Dave is survived by his wife, son & daughter, daughter-in-law & son-in-law, grandchildren and dear cousins Ralph Reaves (Jeanette), Ann Brown (Terry) & Jeff Reaves (Annette). As well as his precious sister-in-law, Abbie Reaves & her 4 daughters…Patte, Dee Dee, Katy and Jane.

Family was top priority for Dave. Dave cherished & adored his wife, Kathi. They were still in love after 60 years. This love was demonstrated by holding hands in public, kissing frequently, communicating and doing almost everything together. He loved gathering for a meal, working on a project or just visiting.

Dave has been described as a dependable, reliable, consistent and faithful friend. He never complained about doing work or helping others whenever needed. Dave was not college educated, however he had life skills. He could build or repair anything if it didn’t require soldering! His hobbies included gardening, yard work, building, creating & repairing.

Dave worked in the grocery business most of his adult life. He retired from Creamland Dairies as warehouse manager, in 2013.

Kathi and family rest on Psalm 23 and John 3:16. Knowing God was present during Dave’s illness and is still present during this dark time. They feel God’s comfort and peace as He refreshes their souls and minds. Romans 8 reminds us that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
