Mildred "Jean" Mines, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at her home in Warner Robins, Georgia. Born on April 4, 1939, to the late George Cecil Cox, Sr. and Lena May Broome Cox, she was a loving presence in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A memorial service honoring her life will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a visitation prior to the service, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Cemetery.
Jean was preceded in death by her brother, George Cecil Cox, Jr., and her sister, Emma Cox. She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Bobby Mines, Sr., who was her partner and confidant throughout their long and fulfilling life together. She was the proud mother of Betty Johnson, Bobby (Shelby) Mines, Jr. , Pam (Toni) Mines, and Rodney (Deanna) Mines. Also cherishing her memory are her sister, Lena Bell Parker, and her beloved grandchildren: Danielle, Taylor, Scarlett, Joshua, Trevor, and Erika.
Jean, affectionately known as "Moo Moo", dedicated her life to being a homemaker, with her heart set on caring for her family. Her kindness and nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. Friends and family will remember her unwavering love and support, as well as her ability to bring warmth and comfort to everyone that came into her home.
