Ann L. O'Hara
June 28th, 1924 - August 27th, 2025
Ann L. O’Hara, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 101. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, generosity, and a life fully lived.
Ann was born on June 28, 1924, in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. She attended school there and later studied at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk. With a strong spirit of service and patriotism, Ann moved to Delaware during World War II, where she held several jobs contributing to the war effort.
It was in Delaware that she met the love of her life, Andrew “Bart” O’Hara Jr, a Navy serviceman. The two married and, in 1946, moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida — at a time when there were more mosquitoes and sand flies than people. They made Brevard County their home, and Ann remained a proud resident there for the rest of her life.
After losing Bart, Ann was blessed to marry George Ammen. The Ammen and O’Hara families had been friends for many years. George lost his wife Margaret to cancer and Mom lost Bart to a heart attack. Six years later George and Ann married and enjoyed 24 years together.
Together, Ann and Bart raised three children:
· Andrew Bartlett O’Hara III (Lynne)
· Dianne O’Hara Eswine (Chris)
· Delores O’Hara Spearman (Guy)
She was a devoted and proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Dawn O’Hara Stuckey, Leigh O’Hara Martin (Mark), Andrew “Andy” Bartlett O’Hara IV (Lisa), Christopher Chad Eswine (Stephanie), and Ashley Spearman (Callie).
Her legacy continues through nine great-grandchildren: Kyle Stuckey, Bailey Ciarcia, Tucker Lynn, Josh O’Hara, Oliver Harris, Avery Eswine, Savannah Eswine, Susie Spearman, and Max Spearman, as well as one great-great-grandchild, Kaiden Ciarcia.
Ann was a successful businesswoman, the owner and broker of O’Hara Real Estate. Her leadership and expertise earned her recognition statewide — she was President of the Brevard County Board of Realtors, elected to the Board of Florida State Realtors and served as President of the Florida State Associate Division of Real Estate. She was also an active and respected member of her community.
A woman of deep faith, Ann was a member of Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church for over 75 years. She loved people and truly thrived in their company — whether entertaining guests, cooking delicious meals, traveling, gardening, or simply enjoying a heartfelt conversation. She was the ultimate hostess and opened her home with warmth and grace.
Ann loved God, and she lived her faith through her kindness, generosity, and the unwavering love she gave to her family and friends. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
