It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mike Acedo Jr. His time with us ended far too soon, leaving a void that can never be filled. Mike was a man full of heart who always placed others before himself. He lived his life with generosity, kindness, and a deep love for those around him. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Chemy; his children, Esteban (Isela), Arianna (Zakk), and Marina; his grandchildren, Sebastian and Eli; his father, Mike Acedo Sr.; his siblings, Larry (Sandy), Marie (Rual), and Olga; and a host of extended family and cherished friends. His memory will live on through them.
Mike was the kind of person who brought happiness wherever he went. He loved to see people smile, and his zest for life was truly inspiring. He was fearless and fun-loving. Through every life he touched with his warmth and laughter, his legacy will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Mike’s spirit, his love, and his legend will live on in all of us who were blessed to know him. He will be profoundly missed and eternally remembered.
Mike is now reunited in heaven with his beloved mother, Lorena Acedo, and his nephew, Buddy Garcia.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 East Broadway Boulevard.
A celebration of life will follow at the Casino Ballroom, 437 East 26th Street.
