Donato M. Schiraldi, Jr.

Donato M. Schiraldi Jr. passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2025, in Deptford, New Jersey. He was born on August 26, 1956, in Camden, New Jersey.

Donato dedicated 25 years of his life working alongside his father at the family-owned Bread Basket in Wenonah, New Jersey, where they became known for their coveted pepperoni bread and beautifully airbrushed cakes. He later transitioned to a career in technology, serving as a Senior Network Support Specialist for Black Horse Pike Regional School District until his retirement.

Above all, Donato was a devoted family man who cherished his role as husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman who participated in tournaments and enjoyed the camaraderie of his fishing club. Donato had a passion for playing cards and looked forward to trips to Atlantic City. As a faithful Philadelphia Eagles fan, he never missed a game, bleeding green through every season. His love for live music was evident in his attendance at everything from folk festivals to reggae and rock concerts.

Donato was the beloved husband of 41 years to Jeanette (Swope) and the adoring father of Donato Thomas and Erica. He was a loving grandfather to Sophia and Elanna, and a caring older brother to Nicholas, Camille, and Ann (Darnall). He was the devoted son of Helen Schiraldi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and Mass at Infant Jesus Parish at Saint. Margaret's Church, Third and Beech Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held privately.
