Glenna Broome Jones

Glenna Broome Jones, 75, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1950, in Evanston, Wyoming to Richard and Edna Broome.

Glenna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, coworker, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mac Jones, the love of her life.

Glenna dedicated her career to serving others, she was a hard worker that strived to provide the best care and a friendly smile to all those in need. For the last 18 years, Glenna worked as a telemetry technician at Banner South. Her coworkers and patients often described her as warm and dependable. Outside of her work, she was an active and cherished member of the Tucson Women's Club.

Glenna will be remembered for her loving spirit, her commitment to her work, and her ability to find and spread joy. A frequent visitor of Little Anthony's Diner, she would often share lighthearted stories about Marilyn and Elvis and loved to celebrate any occasion. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Olivarez, and her son-in-law, Robert Olivarez; her three granddaughters, Kirsten Olivarez, Emma, and Ella; and dear siblings including; Richard Broome, Gary Broom, Sherry Broome Holtzkemper, Chuck Broome, and Rose Tipton.

A celebration of life will be held at Bring's Broadway Chapel on Friday September 19, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. The family asks that those that attend honor Glenna’s wishes by wearing fun colors, or accessories. Glenna did not want her loved ones to shed tears in her absence but to smile and laugh at the memories she created with them.
