Lindsey Leigh Brown, 43, passed away suddenly Sept. 3, 2025, at St Alphonsus Hospital from natural causes. She passed away peacefully with her daughter, family and partner, Todd, by her side. Lindsey was Born Oct. 5, 1981, in Caldwell, Idaho to her parents, Monty and Anita Brown, and lived most of her life in the Caldwell area. One of four children and the only girl, she grew up holding her own with three brothers, Ryan, Jarrod, and Austin. She had been residing at her parents home since 2021 due to health complications.

Her daughter and love of her life, Alexis Noelle Ponce, was born Nov. 9, 1999. Lindsey raised her daughter, as a single mother, to be strong and independent and to always stand for what she believes in. She was a kind and loving mother, who would do anything for her only child. Her daughter was able to spend the last few months by her mothers side, laughing for hours and sharing stories with one another.

Lindsey worked various jobs over the years, Home Depot, Zamzows, Vista Pawn, and most recently part-time at Refresh Restore Renew Salt Room in Caldwell. Becoming good friends with her boss, Terry Franklin, who was a tremendous support given that Lindsey was ill.

One of her passions was animals and she was always surrounded by her French Bulldogs, Roxy, Remi, and Missi in her last years. In her youth, she participated in 4-H for many years, even winning Grand Champion Market Sheep at the Canyon County Fair. Her most recent side job was dog sitting, where she built a reputation of a loving, caring sitter, where word began to spread on how good she was with the animals she cared for.

In 2020, Lindsey was diagnosed with breast cancer and handled her treatment with tremendous courage, strength and grace. She was cancer free at the time of her death; unfortunately, she was never able to fully regain her health up until her passing.

Her biggest dream was to love and be loved and share a life with someone special that loved bulldogs as much as she did. She found that with her partner of three years, Todd Secord of Ontario, Oregon. They spent every day talking on the phone, sharing their days when they couldn't be together. Everyday one could hear her beautiful laugh echo from her room whenever they talked. They shared a love that was very special.

We are devastated at her passing and will sorely miss her beautiful smile, courage and kind heart. We know she is in a better place now and no longer in pain and daily illness.

Lindsey is survived by her daughter, Alexis Ponce (William Railing) of Caldwell, her parents, Monty and Anita Brown, of Caldwell, Idaho, her three brothers and their spouses, Ryan (Rebecca) Brown of Homedale, Jarrod (Penney) Brown of Payette, and little brother, Austin (Jessica) Brown of Meridian, two nephews, Riley and Gage Brown, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She was proceeded in death by her two sets of grandparents, Ralph and Betty Wright, John and Carmen Brown, an uncle, John Wright, and an aunt, Esperanza Cunningham.

An open house memorial will be held Oct 5, 2025 from 3 to 6 pm at the home of her parents at 15844 Wrightway Lane, Caldwell, Idaho. Please bring a chair if you have one and spend some time sharing memories with the family. In her honor, her family asks for donations to the charity Boise Bully Breeds.
