Kenneth Richard Goodpaster, 84, husband of the late Sharline Rogers Goodpaster, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Lexington. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on October 22, 1940, to the late James and Virginia Letcher Goodpaster. Kenneth was employed at Trane in Lexington, KY for many years prior to his retirement. 

 

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth K. Goodpaster, James "Chris" Goodpaster, Carl Allen Goodpaster, sisters, Laura Humphrey, Brenda Bradshaw, grandchildren, Jody Sexton, Jason Goodpaster, Tommy Goodpaster, and Tyler Goodpaster, in addition, 5 great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Lee Goodpaster, sisters, Peggy Jo Adams, Donna Brown, Mary Ellen Puckett, Ruby Dalcour, and grandson, Jacob Covey.

 

Funeral services will be Friday, September 12, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing beginning at 1:30pm. Bro. Steve Wainwright will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be the same day beginning at 11:30 AM.

 

Serving as pall bearers will be Jason Goodpaster, Tommy Goodpaster, Tyler Goodpaster, Dillon Shortridge, Hunter Shortridge, Matt Sexton and James Crank. Honorary pall bearers are Carl Bradshaw, George Wireman, Gary Wireman, Roy Abney, David "Whop" Cole and Glenn Caise.
