Audrey Ellen Sparks, 60, of Lexington, and loving wife of Kevin Lee Sparks passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, September 5, 2025. An Ashland native, she was born to the late Sherman Frank Brown and Helen (Rowe) Brown on November 17, 1964. She was a member of the Christian faith.

Audrey was a talented homemaker who loved her family more than anything else in this world. She was an excellent cook who was great at hosting family events, especially at Christmastime. She especially loved the Christmas Season.

She gave to many causes, among them Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and the American Cancer Society.

In addition to her dedicated husband of 37 years, left to cherish memories of her are their sons, Chris Sparks, Joshua (Stephanie) Sparks, and Sam Cox; Joshua and Stephanie’s daughter, her dear granddaughter Brighton; one sister Sharon (Craig) Edwards; one brother Scott (Jessica) Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Celebration of Life Services will be held this Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing. The visitation will occur from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The celebration of life service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Chaplain Dale Adams will officiate the 3:00 p.m. service.

Audrey loved the color purple. If you choose to send a flower arrangement to the funeral home for her services, incorporating some purple would be appreciated.
