Willie James Pasley, Sr.

Mr. Willie James Pasley Sr., 83, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away in the loving embrace of his family on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1942, to Ben and Ida Bell Pasley (née Goodson) in Verbena, Alabama.
Willie was a decorated Army Veteran, serving three tours during the Vietnam War. He was a man of honor, strength, and compassion, with a commitment to helping others. Willie provided guidance to those who sought his advice, and he shared his wisdom from a lifetime of experience. Willie found joy in simple pleasures. He enjoyed working on cars, listening to music, and watching sports, particularly football, which was his favorite time of year. He was an advocate of education, often encouraging his family to pursue their academic dreams and goals.
He was a dedicated family man and believed himself to be blessed beyond measure. He shared nearly sixty years of marriage with his loving wife, Hoàng T. Pasley (née Trần). He also connected deeply with his children and appreciated spending time with his grandchildren.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Andrew and Ben; and sisters Betty, Mae, Dina, Ann, Dora, and Francis.
He is survived by his wife, Hoàng; his sons, Thái M. Trí (wife Loan) and Willie Jr. (wife Grace); his daughter, Selena; his grandchildren: Riena, Lenaya, Nigel, Thanh, India, Tuyen, Asia, Antonio, Jazeel, and Nehemiah.
Visitation for the public will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:00am at All Veterans Funeral and Cremation, 1020 E. Fillmore, Colorado Springs, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm.
