"Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened." Dr Seuss

Suzanne Anderson, 77, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.   She was born in 1947 in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of Mae Robison. In the 1970s, she moved to Florida with her mother and sister, Jane Robison. She worked as a typesetter at the St. Petersburg Times, where her love of words and sharp mind flourished. While taking college classes in astrology, Suzanne met her professor, Louis William “Bill” Anderson. The two fell in love and married, building a life of shared love, faith, and service. Together they became devoted members of the Temple of the Living God, where she worked for over a decade preparing church bulletins and serving a community that was dear to her heart.   In the 1980s, Suzanne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis shortly after the birth of her son. She faced the challenges of the disease with strength and grace, adapting to each new limitation while never losing her spirit or love for others.   A lifelong lover of reading and learning, Suzanne treasured the St. Petersburg library system. She spent countless days with her son at the South Branch Library at Boyd Hill and at the main branch overlooking the lake on 9th Avenue North, where they shared many cherished hours reading together. Her devotion to education also extended to volunteering in the Pinellas County School System, where she supported every school her son attended — Bay Point Elementary, Bay Point Middle, and Lakewood High School.   She is survived by her son, Jon Anderson, and her grandchildren, Angel, Ashton, and Aaron Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Anderson.   Though her body was confined by illness, Suzanne’s spirit was never diminished. She is now free, reunited with her beloved husband, and soaring with the angels.
