Jerry Frank Hancock

Mr. Jerry Frank Hancock, age 72, a resident of Polk City, Florida went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Hancock was born December 29, 1952, in Fries, Virginia to Kenny Hackler and Eunice Josephine (Leath) Hancock. He was a resident of Polk City since 1995 coming from Virginia. Jerry was the Owner/Operator & Watch Maker of “J&S Jewelry” in Polk City and worked a short time for Griner’s Jewelry in Winter Haven. He attended Berkley Chapel Church in Auburndale and a past Pastor of First Baptist Church Scenic Park in Lake Wales. Jerry rode his electric chair down the Van Fleet Trail passing out Bible tracks, praying for people and socializing with anyone he met along the way. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, swap meets, jewelry trade shows, western movies and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and baby sister – Mary Ruth Hancock. Jerry is survived by his loving & devoted family, wife of 30 years – Sharon Hancock; son – Jason Hancock; stepson - Greg (Lori) Driggers; 2 stepdaughters – Jill (Bill) Mack & Cheryl Driggers; sister – Shirley Hancock; 5 grandchildren – Jeffrey (Celina), Avery, Bailee (Dawson), Becca & Emma; 3 great grandchildren – Everleigh, Kylan & Charlotte. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am at Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 West Derby Avenue, Auburndale.
