Raymond Michaud, 75, of Winter Haven Florida, formerly of West Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025. Born on June 4, 1950, he was the beloved son of the late Evette Manfra and Gilbert Michaud. Ray found joy in life’s quiet pleasures, whether that was spending time at the beach, being near the water, or fishing. Ray grew up in West Warwick, spending summers in Matunuck at his family's beach house at Roy Carpenter's Beach. The beach was his happy place, where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Later in life, he embraced his love of travel and spent time cruising the world, collecting memories along the way. Ray had a career as a skilled machinist before he retired. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Diane Michaud, with whom he raised a family and shared many wonderful years until her passing in 2010. He was a proud father to two daughters, Sara Blessing and her husband Adam, and Katie Judge and her husband Jacob. He was also a loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Owen, Lily, and Dylan Blessing, and Jack and Luca Judge. He is survived by his sister Barbara Stringer. For the past several years, he shared his life with his loving companion, Kathy Kenyon, who he had many adventures with. His entire family will cherish all the wonderful memories they made with Ray. Ray will be remembered for his quiet strength, adventurous spirit, love of the ocean, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. All services will be private. In keeping with his love of the ocean, we take comfort in knowing that he has gone on another journey, carried by the waves he loved so much.
