Tracey Lynn Albrecht
February 14th, 1965 - September 9th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Tracey Lynn Albrecht, born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1965, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her dear friends and family on September 9, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Tracey also lived in Tuscaloosa, AL, Columbia, SC, Greensboro, NC, and finally in Kernersville, NC, forming life-long friendships all along the way. Tracey had a fabulous sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and spending time with friends with whom she was closely bonded for decades.
Tracey began drawing and painting at a young age and filled her world with beautiful, vibrant color, creating large abstract oil paintings in her own distinctive style featuring organic forms that drip and twist on the canvas. Besides oil paint, she also worked with watercolor, alcohol inks, tie dye, and batik.
In addition to her artwork, Tracey was passionate about her beloved pets. Over the course of her life in North Carolina, she had six German shepherds, four kitties, and two birds. Late in Tracey’s life she began taking horseback lessons and soon mastered the art of English riding. Tracey loved all of our planet’s creatures and had the opportunity to travel twice to Costa Rica to experience nature at its finest. She also had the pleasure of taking many trips around our country, visiting breathtaking natural locations, which inspired her with boundless creativity. She always had a deep curiosity about the world and remained receptive to its mysteries and wonder. Above all, Tracey lived a life of true empathy and understanding.
Tracey was the daughter of Rupert “Bud” and the late Rose Rieder. She retired after working over twenty-five years as a visual merchandiser at Kohl’s. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose and her sister, Sharon. She is lovingly remembered by her father, Bud, her sister Lea Warosh, her two sons, Lucas and Keith Albrecht, and her grandchildren Olivia and Charlie.
A celebration of life is planned for this Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12-5pm at Tracey’s home in Kernersville, NC. For more information contact [email protected] .
