Daniel Roy LaValle, born June 30, 1955, to Irene and Bob LaValle of Saint Paul, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on August 20, 2025. After battling major health challenges for awhile now he was called to be with God, surrounded by his loved ones.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, his son James, brothers Bob and Ron as well as many other loved ones.

He is survived by the love of his life Debra; who is his wife of 50 years, his children; Jessica, Jennifer, and Joseph (Gerry); and his treasured grandchildren, Andre, Robert, Nathaniel, Samson, Taylen and many other family and friends dear to his heart. Until his last breath, Daniel often said that his grandchildren brought the greatest joy to his world.

A man of simple pleasures, Daniel enjoyed life’s little moments, fishing, hunting with the guys and a perfectly cooked steak. He was a guiding light for so many and touched the lives of everyone around him with his kindness, humor, and spirit.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12PM Noon on Tuesday, October 28 at Willwerscheid West Heights, 235 Wentworth Ave W, West Saint Paul, MN 55118.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home begining at 11AM.

The family thanks everyone for all of the compassion, support and kindness during this extremely difficult time.

Daniel will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and joy he brought into this world.

Willwerscheid Funeral Home & Cremation Service - West-Heights

Since 1886, the Willwerscheid family has helped Saint Paul families navigate grief and plan funerals, cremation services, and life celebration services. Our business was started by John Adam Willwerscheid, a second generation American and father of eight over 100 years ago. While a lot has changed since then, our commitment to caring for families hasn't. We know that finding the right funeral home is important, and we are grateful that families continue to trust us to take care of their loved ones....
