In Loving Memory of Carroll Charles (Chris) Chrisman
Carroll Charles “Chris” Chrisman of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Chris was the son of Virginia Elizabeth Kief Chrisman and Charles Leroy Chrisman.
A proud graduate of Martinsburg High School and Southeastern University in Washington, DC, Chris dedicated his professional life to serving the nation through his work with defense contractors. He retired after 32 years of distinguished service as a Business Operations Manager at Lockheed Martin.
As a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church, Chris found fellowship and purpose within the Friendship Sunday School Class. He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering kindness. Always ready to lend a hand or offer support, Chris embodied compassion and grace in every aspect of his life.
An enthusiastic supporter of University of South Carolina Gamecock athletics, Chris also found joy in cruising and spending time outdoors—especially fishing in the Florida Keys and on Lake Murray.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Beverly Chrisman; his sister, Connie Dellinger of Martinsburg, WV; daughters Julie Cook, Caryn Cheverie (Keith), Cheryl Schmidt (Craig), Chrislyn Chrisman, and Lyndsay Larson; stepchildren Max Brandes, Jr. (Maryellen), Marcie Brandes, and Barry Brandes (Jessica); 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Dale Chrisman; and first wife Geri Freitas Chrisman.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Riverland Hills Baptist Church in Irmo, SC. Visitation will follow in the church atrium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.
Chris’s legacy of love, generosity, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
