Mary Pauline Fitzsimons-Kosorski passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025 at the age of 99.  She was born on April 17, 1926  in Maidstone, Ontario while on a family trip to visit relatives. She was one of seven children born to Arthur and Agnes McPharlin who raised their family in Detroit, Michigan.  Pauline went to St. Rose elementary school and graduated from St Martin High School in 1944, just days after the D Day invasion when the Americans landed on the beaches of Normandy, France. She married her first husband, John Fitzsimons, who had returned home from his Army Air Corps training, on January 25, 1947. John and Pauline were married for 38 years and raised six children  They had a full life together spending time  with family and friends and making memories together until his death in 1985. She later married Walter Kosorski in 1998 and the couple enjoyed many activities together including spending their winter in Florida until his death in 2000.      In 2012, she moved to Leisure World in Seal Beach, California to be closer to her daughters.  Pauline loved life and stayed actively involved until her last few years when the aging process caught up to her. She played golf, bowled, went to the movies and theatre, and was never more happy than sitting at a table playing bridge. She will be remembered for her love of family, her sense of humor, and her zest for life. Pauline is survived by her children Jay(Dinah) Fitzsimons, Colleen Poelvoorde, Connie(Bruce) Meisner, and David (Laurajane) Fitzsimons, four grandchildren: Lauren Wubbels, Max Poelvoorde, Aidan and Ellen Fitzsimons, and three great-grandchildren:  Nico and Giada Poelvoorde and Logan Wubbels, her brother William McPharlin and many nieces and nephews.
