Jimmy Aceves
November 28th, 1958 - August 3rd, 2025
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jimmy Aceves, who left us peacefully on August 3, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on November 28, 1958, in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised by his Nana and Tata in Gilbert, Arizona. Jimmy was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose laughter and kindness touched many lives. A proud graduate of Gilbert High School, Jimmy went on to have a fulfilling career as a maintenance technician. Known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication, he brought a sense of joy to every project he undertook. He was not just skilled in his trade; he had a special knack for lightening the mood with his humor, often joking and sharing sarcastic quips that endeared him to his colleagues and friends alike. Jimmy cherished the company of his family, including his parents, Pedro and Maria Carrizosa, and his children: James, Amada, Matthew, Mike, and Adam. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to a host of grandchildren, each bringing him endless joy: Daniel, Gracie-Ann, Aryanna, Anissa, Aliana, Alexi, Angeline, Isabela, Adrian, Alayna, Amelia, Isaiah, Mikie, Roman, Renesme, Alycia, Bella, Chloe, and Natalie. His love for them was immeasurable, and he leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. An avid sports fan, Jimmy enjoyed faithfully watching the Raiders and passionately followed other events such as March Madness and Pack 12 games. His enthusiasm for sports was often matched only by his ability to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, where friends and family came together to celebrate life’s moments. As we remember Jimmy, let us honor the spirit of joy he brought into our lives. A memorial service will be held on September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Meldrum Mortuary, located at 52 N Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201, followed by internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85204, at 12:30 PM. He will be dearly missed by his children, siblings, numerous friends, and all whose lives he touched with his infectious smile and playful spirit. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his laughter and love.
