Carole Stevens
September 5th, 1942 - September 4th, 2025
Carole was born September 5th, 1942 in Yonkers NY.~ Carole passed on September 4th, 2025, Loveland, CO.
She attended High School in Somers NY at Somers High School after moving to Lake Lincolndale, a hamlet north of New York City, as a young lady in the 1950s. This is where she met her husband, Homer Stevens when she was 15 and he was 17. She was the Class Valedictorian of Somers High School in 1960.
While living in Lake Lincolndale, she enjoyed swimming in the lake, and listening to Elvis Presley records. (She had a huge collection). She had a lifelong passion for reading and a deep love for animals which brought her joy throughout her life. She loved RV camping and taking road trips. Her biggest joy was spending time with family.
She possessed a very strong work ethic. She was a school bus driver in Somers NY for several years. She enjoyed this very much and looked forward to seeing all the kids on her bus route every day. After moving to Colorado, she worked at Longmont United Hospital in the insurance billing office where she made many friends.
She was married to Homer Stevens in December of 1960 (deceased January 2005). She had two children, Judy (married to Greg) of Hancock, Michigan and Robert (married to Wendy) of Lancaster NY.
She has four grandsons: Todd Eggleston (married to Amanda) of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Austin Butala (married to Becky) of San Diego, CA. Also Joseph and Jeremiah Stevens.
She has two great-grandchildren: Cayden and Aspyn Eggleston of Oak Harbor, Washington. She has two sisters: Lauren Hunter (married to Steve) of Longmont, Colorado and Bonnie Clemens of Florida. She was also very close to her nephew, Brett Hollywood, his wife Emily and baby daughter Gemma of Loveland, Colorado.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life for close friends and family at a future date.
