Robert “Bobby” Scott Clark, Jr., died September 09 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Bobby was born June 03, 1951, at the old hospital in South Frankfort, Ky, to Robert S. Clark, Sr. and Ella Hall Clark.

Bobby attended 8 years at Peaks Mill School and graduated from Franklin Co High School in 1969. Upon graduation Bobby joined the US Navy and spent extended time in the Mediterranean aboard the USS Forrestal. After the Navy he enlisted in the Army National Guard being sworn in by his Stepfather and friend, National Guard Recruiter, Alfred J.P. D’Ambrosio. As a guardsman, Bobby was activated to help in the Jett area and other parts of the county in the aftermath of the 1974 F4 tornado. After military Service, Bob had a career at General Electric as an electrician, using the skills he honed as an electrician in the US Navy.

As a young boy growing up on the farm between Peaks Mill and Swallowfield, Bobby had many daily chores after school such as slopping the hogs and filling the furnace with coal. In the summer there were long, hot hours of hay and tobacco work. It has been stated on many occasions that those days would not be traded for anything! As a hobby, Bobby was gifted and fascinated with electrical and magnetic gadgets. In the fourth grade he built a radio that actually worked.

Bobby was a member of Swallowfield Church of Christ. At the age of 12 along with his sister, Julia, he was baptized in the Elkhorn Creek at Peaks Mill by Brother Richard Trammel. He held a deep and abiding faith in the Lord to the end.

Bob had many friends and enjoyed his lunches with family and friends, Jeff, Stephen, Ruthie, Christina and Julia.

Robert will be greatly missed and forever loved for his kindness, generosity and dry sense of witty humor. He was one of a kind.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmothers Anna and Sally, his parents, his wife, Ruth Ford Clark and a brother Thomas L. Clark (Susan Lanthorn).

He leaves behind sisters, Julia A Harrod, Margaret S. Barber (John), Frances L Pinkston and brothers Timothy M. Clark (Brooke) and Joseph P. D’Ambrosio (Karen) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great niece and nephew.

He was “Uncle” to his dear nephew and friend, Jacob Clark Harrod.

His remains are under the direction and care of Clark Legacy Center and Crematory Services, Frankfort, KY.
