Stella Germon Hazelberg
May 2nd, 1965 - September 4th, 2025
"Pick and choose your battles..."
Stella Germon Hazelberg was born on May 2, 1965, in Salinas, California. She departed from this world on September 4, 2025, in Sun City, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Stella was a devoted wife to her husband, Mike Hazelberg, and a nurturing mother to her six children: Megan Álvarez, Amanda Álvarez, Lindsey Álvarez, Haylie Hazelberg, Ryan Álvarez, and Michael Hazelberg. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to Oliver Micah Hazelberg and Ella Rae Behmer, instilling in them the values of kindness and generosity. Stella's unwavering love for her family was evident in everything she did; she would go above and beyond in her quest to support and encourage her children and grandchildren to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
In her life, Stella exemplified warmth and compassion. Known for her open heart, even strangers found solace in her presence, often sharing their most troubled stories with her. She always wore her heart on her sleeve and believed firmly in the saying, "Pick and choose your battles," guiding her family through life’s challenges with wisdom and grace. Her faith in God was unshakeable, and she often reminded her loved ones that what is meant to be will indeed find its way.
Stella’s interests included spending her spare time browsing at Goodwill, playing bingo, visiting the casino occasionally, and indulging in her favorite scratch-off lottery tickets. She found joy in the simple pleasure of a sweet morning coffee and had a special talent for restoring old furniture, breathing new life into each piece with care and craftsmanship.
Stella is survived by her loving husband, Mike Hazelberg; her daughters, Megan, Amanda, Lindsey, and Haylie; her sons, Ryan, and Michael; her grandchildren; her mother, Bobbie Gene Odau; and her sisters, Karla Jones and Carmen Moore. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Odau.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Regency Mortuary, located at 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. Family and friends are invited to honor the remarkable life of Stella, a soul who brought love and light to all who knew her. Please join us in remembering the beautiful impact she made on our lives, and may her spirit live on in the hearts of her beloved family.
