Calvin E. Staton

Calvin E. Staton, 72, of Forest, VA, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Delia Byrd Staton.
Born November 4, 1952, in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Joseph Melvin Staton and Ruth Ellen Sprouse Staton. He was retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia after over 30 years as a Volunteer Director. He also worked with the Central VA. Community Services Board as a residential manager. He was a gifted floral designer. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife Delia, he is survived by his daughter, Karter Elizabeth Staton of Lynchburg, VA and his stepdaughter, Ashley Worsham Perrow (William) of Forest, VA and one brother, Melvin Leon Staton (Ann Marie) of Madison Heights, VA; one nephew, Michael Staton (Jenny); two great nieces, Kate and Emily Staton as well as his devoted fur baby, Charlie.
The family wishes to thank CENTRA Hospice and his nurse, Cara, for their loving and devoted care.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Pastor Rick Delinger officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice and do a kind deed for someone else.
