William "Dan" D. Nickelwarth
January 15th, 1957 - September 9th, 2025
William D. Nickelwarth, known to friends and family as “Dan” died unexpectedly on September 9, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to his parents, William O. and Nellie Nickelwarth and grew up in Johnstown before moving to Venice, FL in 1984. Dan was a devoted husband, father, and son. He is survived by his wife Bridget, his mother Nellie, his children Stacia, Wyatt, Michelle (Angel), Amberly (Larry), grandchildren Eli and Sophia along with several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, William O. Nickelwarth of Arcadia and sister Linda Dennison of Arcadia. Dan was an avid car enthusiast and woodworking specialist. He pursued a successful career in construction where he was the owner of W.D. Nickelwarth Custom Trim Inc. before eventually taking a position with John Cannon Homes from where he retired in 2022. He touched the lives of countless people with his kindness, generosity, and witty sense of humor. Dan’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends and those who had the privilege of knowing him. A private celebration of life will be held to honor his memory.
