James Edward Camp

Mr. James Edward Camp, age 78, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Camp was born December 9, 1946, in Winter Haven, Florida to Edward Dee and Dezzy (Bottoms) Camp. He was a Polk County resident for many years moving from Live Oak, Florida where he and his wife lived for 20 years. James was a retired Truck Driver and graduated from Winter Haven High School. He enjoyed fishing, playing music, singing, playing the guitar, bowling, bingo, cards and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Delores Christine Camp; daughter – Tammy Kirkland and grandson – Caleb Kirkland. James is survived by his loving family, daughter – Pamela Lough and 4 grandchildren – Nathan, Cody, Miranda & Arianna. A memorial service will be held 11am Friday, September 19th at Kersey Funeral Home.
