Thomas Andrew “Andy” Baggott Jr., 63, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 11, 2025. Born on March 18, 1962 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas A. Baggott Sr. and Mary Birchmore Baggott.
He began his career working alongside his father at the Shakespeare Company, where he spent five years. After earning an Applied Science degree from Midlands Technical College, he went on to work in various roles throughout his lifetime. His longest tenure was with Ambac International, where he dedicated more than 20 years. He most recently worked at Blanchard Machinery, for nine years.
Andy leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Karen Bradley Baggott; Children, Stormy (Nick) Walker of Sandy Run, Malorie (James) Roberts of Summerville, and Thomas Andrew Baggott III of West Columbia; Grandchildren, Cole Walker, Fisher Roberts, Mason Roberts, and Silas Roberts. He also leaves behind his mother, Mary B. Baggott, his sister, Beth (Richard) Allison, his brother-in-law Scott Babson, his brother-in-law Randy (Eva) Bradley, his sister-in-law Vickie (Roy) Winn, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Nichole Baggott, his father, Thomas A. Baggott Sr., his sister, Sharon “Kay” (Scott) Babson, his father-in-law, Olin D. Bradley, and his mother-in-law, Annie Taylor Bradley.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 12:00pm at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC 29073. The family will receive friends beginning at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd. Lexington, SC 29072.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lexington Medical Center Foundation.
