December 29th, 1929 - September 9th, 2025
Doris A. Roberts of Gulfport Florida, formerly East Rockaway NY, age 95 passed peacefully while with family on September 9, 2025. Her family and friends will remember her as a devoted mother, with a sharp wit and a quick laugh. Her opponents in games at their residence in Gulf Shores will also remember her competitive talents; she was occasionally referred to as ‘The Terminator’.
She was predeceased by her parents Pine L and Gertrude O. Pearsall of East Rockaway, NY and Brother Ernest D. Pearsall of Pembrook Pines, Fl. Doris is survived by her loving husband of nearly 68 years John J. Roberts, beloved children, Daughter Linda A. Lyon, Son John P. Roberts, Daughter in Law Maria Roberts, Son in Law Mark S. Lyon and five grandchildren, Brittany M. Lyon, Dillon S. Lyon, Nicole M. Lyon, Jackie A (Roberts) Tsai and husband Jarrett Tsai, Kristina M Roberts and Christopher P. Roberts.
A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers donations to Bethany Congregational Church, 100 Main St., East Rockaway, NY 11518 would be appreciated.
