It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Edward Key, who departed this life on September 11, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on July 25, 1962, in Highland Park, Michigan, Daniel was a cherished member of his community and a beloved family man. Daniel dedicated over 43 years of his career to Trenwa Inc., where he served as a plant manager, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues through his unwavering commitment and work ethic. He was known for his generosity and kindness, characteristics that illuminated the lives of those who knew him. A devoted husband to Sonia Key, Daniel shared a life filled with love and laughter. He was a proud stepfather to Eric Anderson and enjoyed every moment he spent with his grandchildren, Tinley and Wesley Anderson. Family was the cornerstone of Daniel's life, providing him with joy and purpose. In his leisure time, Daniel found pleasure in various activities. He loved fishing, boating, golfing, grilling, and engaging in friendly games of cornhole with family and friends. These moments spent with his loved ones brought him immense happiness and created cherished memories. Daniel is survived by his wife, Sonia; stepson, Eric Anderson; grandchildren, Tinley and Wesley; brothers, David Key (Kathy) and Don Key (Renee); sister-in-law, Susan Key; and stepmother, Laura Key. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Hal Key; mother, Marilyn Dahn; and brother, Dennis Key. A funeral service in his honor will be conducted on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida, beginning at 11 AM, with visitation from 10 to 11 AM. The family invites all who knew and loved Daniel to join them in celebrating his life, sharing stories, and honoring the legacy of a man who brought kindness and joy to all those he encountered. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
