Richard Bowman passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Pioneer, CA, at the age of 70. He was born on July 7, 1955, in Castro Valley, CA, to Richard and Myrna (Goforth) Bowman.
Richard was the owner of a successful painting company in Castro Valley, CA, where he dedicated 45 years of his life to building and managing the business. Throughout this time, he became well-known in the community for his commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. His expertise and passion for painting allowed him to create numerous beautiful spaces for both residential and commercial clients, earning him a loyal customer base and a strong reputation in the industry. He then retired in Pioneer, CA in 2022.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennifer DeJanes; stepdaughter, Danielle DeGroot; brothers, Kent and Jeff Bowman, and Susan Caldwell, as well as 4 grandchildren, Katelyn and Kody DeJanes; Isabelle and Jimmy DeGroot.There will be a celebration of life, which will be announced at a later date.
