Cheryl "Reddie Mae" Felton
1952 - 2025
Cheryl “Reddie Mae” Felton, 73, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, after a long battle with PCA (a rare form of Dementia) in Denver, Colorado—the city where she was born and spent her life surrounded by family and friends.
Born on April 28, 1952, in Denver, Cheryl was the daughter of Leonard and Shirley Vidmar. She graduated from Alameda High School and went on to build a career marked by dedication and leadership. Cheryl consistently held higher-level positions from her early days working in call centers to her most recent role in Human Resources at Hammersmith Management. Her strong work ethic and perseverance were defining qualities throughout her professional journey.
Cheryl is lovingly remembered by her daughter Michelle Cooley; her son Corey Riley; her grandchildren Melisha Hines and Ayana Hines; and her great-grandchildren T'ani Rhodes-Maestas, Shawn Williams, Phoenix Williams, Christian Hines, and Rai Hines. Her deep love for family was evident in every aspect of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roger Felton; her daughter Christa Hines; her first husband Gene Watson; her parents Leonard and Shirley Vidmar; her sister Linda Jiner; and her aunt Anna Marie Runge.
Cheryl found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to music while tending to her garden, watching Lifetime movies or crime shows, chatting on the phone with loved ones, or enjoying a good meal out. She especially cherished time spent with family and treasured the decades-long friendship she shared with Sue Pierce, her best friend since the 1970s. Her sense of humor lit up every room she entered, and her positive spirit uplifted those around her.
Private Burial Service for Cheryl will be held on September 22, 2025 in Denver, Colorado.
Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. May those who knew Cheryl find comfort in remembering the strength she carried and the joy she brought into their lives.
