Age 77 of Maplewood, Minnesota.
God has called home a soul whose superpower was caring for others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benhardt and Shirley Erickson, Siblings, Janet and Ben. And Husband, Thomas Jakala.
She is survived by her brothers, BJ, Robert, and Jeff and sisters, Shari, Mary, and Carole. Four children, Robert, Marjorie, Melissa (Gary), and Keith. Grandchildren, Mandy, Russell, Nicholas, Jayce, and Bonnie. Great grandchildren, Laci, Isaiah, Taylor, Seville, Livia, Lydia, Cerenity, Josiah, and Luna.
Barbara's career was spent caring for those with special needs. She was an amazing mom. She was an exceptional cook. She loved cats and always had one as a companion. She loved butterfly decor, American Idol, crime shows, soap operas, and John Grisham novels.
Services will be held at the Hill-Murray High School Chapel on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon at Mandy's house.
