Elizabeth “Beth” Hernandez, born March 19, 1951 in Denver to Lynn and Natalie Leadbetter, passed away September 7, 2025 in Loveland at the age of 74 after a long battle with dementia.

Beth was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She has love for the arts, crafts, animals and education. Beth instilled strength, hard work, loyalty and love into friends and family.

While teaching and coaching, she met Dennis and the two of them were married in 1975 and enjoyed 50 years of marriage. They had two sons Marke and Brian.

After taking time away from work to raise their children, Beth went back to work at Colorado State University. There she helped students transition into becoming teachers until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Hernandez; sister, Linda Leadbetter; her sons, Marke Hernandez and Brian Hernandez; daughter-in-law Felicia Hernandez; and three grandchildren Leo, Hyatt and Nathanial.

Beth is preceded in her death by her parents and sister, Cheryl.

This family will be celebrating Beth’s life on September 27th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fort Collins at 1pm.
