In Loving Memory of Mr. Jayson Lee Cox
Come Celebrate the Life of Jayson Lee Cox with his family.
Jayson Lee Cox, age 29, from Tampa, FL passed away September 14, 2025 at his home.
Jayson’s personality can be described as outgoing, friendly, tech savvy, witty and cold weather fanatic. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Jayson spent much of his early life in Michigan. During his school years he was known for wearing a short sleeve shirt and shorts to school during the winter months. He was very close to his sister, Dany. They did just about everything together and would cry on each other’s shoulders when needed. Looking at photos it was rare to not see Dany with him. He loved his grandparents dearly. He would go to many amusement parks, water parks and camping with them. Looking at all the pictures you can tell Jayson was having fun, which is something he truly loved, having fun. Jayson and his mom were close, he would often say she was his rock and biggest support. He loved her beyond words he could express and often he would tell stories of his life growing up by her side.
Jayson cherished his friends. He would talk about them often with high praise and how close he was with them. He would make time to travel and visit them as much as he could. He would always come home and tell his family about his visits and about how much he enjoyed visiting them. He made a point to talk with them on the phone often.
Jayson loved airplanes. He would spend time near his home watching planes take off and land. He went to an airshow and marveled over the different planes, it was his passion. He loved to fly on them during his travels. His favorite thing was going by the ocean on Courtney Campbell Causeway to watch them fly over.
Another passion Jayson had was traveling. He would talk about the different destinations he would like to travel to. Within the last year, some of those travels came true. Besides traveling the US he made it to Japan, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Bahamas. His plans later this year were to go to Amsterdam and Germany.
Cooking was another passion he developed. When living with his sister he was actually a horrible cook which they often joked about. She would tease him saying he didn’t use seasoning on his chicken. After a purchase of a Ninja cooker, it was non-stop. His favorite thing was to be able to have homemade meal with his friends or family he would make. He would text his mom a picture of what he made almost daily. He was so proud of his accomplishments. His attention to detail always made the dish delicious. He loved to prepare meals to sit down and have with his friends and family because that’s how he was raised. He would invite his family over for a special meal he made to show them his creations. They always left him with high praises on what he made.
Jayson was very tech savvy. He was always up to speed on the current I-phones, computers, tablets and vehicle systems. In his job, he was able to help people figure out the right fit car for them. It was a job his sister suggested to him because he loved cars and his memory and attention to detail towards them was outstanding. He was highly praised at his work. All of his co-workers thought of him highly. He even created an excel spreadsheet that greatly benefitted his job and helped keep everything meticulously organized. He was always available to help his family with issues they were having with their cell phone, computer or car. He would come over, press a couple buttons and fix a problem, the family would say what did you just do after they worked for hours trying to fix the problem he would do it in a matter of seconds.
Jayson loved animals, especially his wiener dog, Daisy. He brought her to everywhere he could. She would follow him around everywhere. He loved cats also. They would attach to him like glue, loving him and giving him kisses. Other family pets loved him too. They would always go up to him because they knew he would give them a lot of love.
Jayson just wanted to have fun and bring laughter everywhere. He brought excitement in everyone’s life. He loved his travels and wanted to be with his family and friends. He was a light in any room. He was taken from all of us too soon. He will be truly missed. We love you, Jayson.
Jayson is survived by his loving mother Lynda, his step father Dale, sister Dany, grandparents Nana and Papp, his aunt, Laurie and brother, Mitch.
