DR. ROB ROYCE BUNCH, 98, of Seminole, died September 17, 2025.  Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he came here in 1957 to practice in his specialty of Internal Medicine until his retirement in 1994.  He served in the Navy during World War II.  He did his undergraduate and medical school education at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was granted an M.D. degree in 1952.  He completed an internship at St. Louis City Hospital and residencies in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis; Coral Cables VA Hospital, Florida; and Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami.  He was in private practice in St. Louis for one year before coming to St. Petersburg, and he continued his private practice here for over 35 years.  He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Pinellas County Medical Society and the Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club and is an honorary member of St. Anthony’s Hospital and Palms of Pasadena Hospital.  He is survived by his wife, Angelica, of 48 years; a daughter, Barbara League, Boulder, Colorado; a son, Jim Bunch, Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter, Robyn Boyd (husband Jim), and granddaughter Stephanie Boyd, Colorado Springs, Colorado; three stepchildren: Kim Corry (husband Bob), Clearwater, Florida; Nick Kochey (wife Kim), Red Hook, New York; and Krissy Rogers (husband Matt), Brooksville, Florida; as well as numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.  He was a member of Central Christian Church.

 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 2 at 3 o'clock at Central Christian Church, 6161 22nd Ave. N. St. Petersburg, FL, with a reception to follow.
