Lexington, South Carolina - Betty Hutto Tinsley, 80, of Lexington, SC passed away on September 17, 2025. Born on October 29, 1944 in Columbia, SC she was the daughter of the late Alfred Hutto and Ila Ursie Chavis Hutto. Ms. Tinsley was a homemaker and member of Edgewood Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved reading her Bible, worshipping the Lord and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter; Barbara (Stuart) Parks of Chapin and her son; Harry ( Miriam) Tinsley of Columbia; Grandchildren; Tiffany Morgan, Jennifer Spires, Stuart Parks Jr., Ainslie Griffin, Justine Quattlebaum; Great Grandchildren; Winter and Maddie Spires, Baylee Barber and Parker Morgan.
She was predeceased in death by a daughter, Marie Downie; granddaughter, Ashleigh Downie; sister; Ethel Helms; brothers; Rembert Hutto, Alfred Hutto, Bobby Hutto, JC Hutto, Knolton Hutto and Tommy Hutto.
A funeral service and burial will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 4pm at St. Paul International Pentecostal Holiness Church in Swansea, SC; with burial directly preceding the service. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 3pm at the church.
Pallbearers are Stuart Parks Jr, David Morgan, Jamie Spires, Allen Martin, Danny Martin and Alex Hutto.
Her family would like to thank the amazing team at Lexington Extended Care for providing such wonderful care to Betty in her final years.
