Louise Anne Nichols is singing and dancing with Jesus. She is celebrating a family reunion with the folks who were waiting for her.

Louise was born January 18, 1930, in Tacoma, Washington, and she passed on September 6, 2025 in Olympia. She was preceded in death by her husband C.E. (Nick) Nichols.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia (Jinni) Jones, Mike Jones, 2 sisters, Nicki Anderson, Ginny Clifton, 1 brother, Ed Orbeck, four grandchildren Mark, Danacia, Louise, Teresa, 3 great grandchildren, Luke, Claire, Colton, and many nieces and nephews.

Louise was a woman of deep faith, and a quietly generous woman. Her generosity was an expression of her faith, and of her heart. She actively lived a blessed life, because she lived her values. She was a quiet blessing to people who maybe, “just needed a little bit of help." She spent time in prayer with, and for, anyone who wanted God's help. She was not only faithful in her deep trust in God, but she was a faithful friend, and when Jesus welcomed her, he welcomed his good and faithful daughter.

When Louise retired from working for the State, Nick built her house and remodeled their cabin on Treasure Island, in Case Inlet. For many years, they lived the ‘island life’. She taught aerobics in Belfair, and she used her artistic creativity to design and create beautiful stained-glass windows. She also published the monthly newspaper for the island. Louise and Nick enjoyed several winters being snowbirds at Morro Bay.

Louise moved to Olympia a few years after Nick passed away, to live with her daughter and son-in-law.  She spent her remaining years in the company of her loving family. When Mandy Neal came into her life, Louise was blessed with a compassionate caregiver, and a best friend.

Louise will be missed, and she will be there to greet us when it’s our turn. We love you, Nonnie.

“Because she loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue her; I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name.

She will call on me, and I will answer her; I will be with her in trouble, I will deliver her and honor her.

With long life I will satisfy her and show her my salvation."

Psalm 91:14-16
