Though you are gone from my sight, you are never gone from my heart. The bond we shared cannot be broken, even by death.

Ronald James Turner

January 21, 1973 – September 9, 2025

Ronald James Turner, 52, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025.

He was born on January 21, 1973, in Staten Island, New York.

Ron, as he preferred to be called, is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Michelle Turner, and his two sons, Justin Michael and Nicholas James Turner, who were the pride and joys of his life. He was a devoted husband and father, always present and deeply involved in his sons’ activities, cheering them on in every game and milestone. He found the love of his life and knew it the moment he met her and despite all obstacles they found their way to each other as if kismet.

He endured a long journey of surgeries and health challenges with courage and strength, always remaining a source of love and inspiration to those around him.

Ron had a lifelong passion for fishing and especially treasured the time spent on the water with his boys. He was also an avid sports fan and athlete himself, with a particular devotion to the Knicks, Mets, Jets and of course the Michigan Wolverines. Some of his happiest moments revolved around sports. He was a gym fanatic and health nut to the end. Devoted to being and staying fit and in peak physical health. Even his sons joined him in his workouts competing against each other nightly.

He enjoyed movie nights, as well as, game nights with his family.

Ron’s warmth, resilience, and love for his family and friends will be remembered always. His absence leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

One of his favorite prayers, kept on his phone, reads:

“ Dear heavenly Lord,

Back then, before I knew you,

How far into the wilderness did I go?

How distant was my heart?

You saw me go away, And you let me be free.

You waited and waited,

Your Spirit whispering to my heart.

Why so much love even when I turned my back on you?

I can only understand you through love, And by grace I get closer to you.

Let my heart and lips sing your praises!

May I thank you from the center of my soul.

From the rooftops, from the mountains I cry out with all creation - Thank You!

Thank you for loving me, Thank you for saving me, Thank you for pulling me Out of the pit of despair.

You place me on your heavenly throne.

I sit with the King of kings, The Lord of lords, The Most High!

How great and good is your love for me.

Thank you, oh heavenly Lord.

Thank you for saving my soul!

In Jesus name, Amen”.

In the words of Ron… don’t be a mutt, don’t be a buumm… especially don’t be garbage. But finally - it is what it is… Sick.
