Michael “Mike” Lee Metzger, 73 of Chico, California passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.He was born September 30, 1951 to Richard and Donna Metzger in Chico, California.
Mike graduated from Corning Union High School in 1969 and served in the Army National Guard from 1971-1977. He graduated from CSU, Chico in 1974. In 1975 he married Nanette Arbogast in Orland, California. Mike had three other marriages: to Christina Gunsauls (1985); to Linda Locamini Henson (1993); and to Ginger Tate (2009.) Mike operated Metzger Painting in the 1980’s. He then became a massage therapist, instructor and owner of Chico Therapy Wellness Center from 1989-2019.
Mike is survived by his son Matthew Vader (Julie) and grandchildren Treven, Katie, Zane, Malachi and Avigail Vader. He is also survived by two brothers Steven and Robert Metzger.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 24. 9:00 am at Calvary Chapel Church, 1888 Springfield Dr, Chico..
