Bonnie Jean Henderson
December 10th, 1935 - August 18th, 2025
Bonnie Jean Henderson was born 12/10/1935 in Upland, California to Walter and Verena Henderson. She spent her childhood in the lemon groves of Southern Cal till she graduated from Chaffey High School in 1956. She continued her education by traveling to UC Berkley High School for the deaf in San Francisco. She traveled to school by train and loved it but hated leaving her family. She learned sign language and how to read lips, as she was deaf.
The family followed her brother to Springfield, Oregon.
They purchased a farm and spent the rest of their days as farmers together.
Bonnie loved camping and swimming. Often, there were camping trips to Belknap Springs. Fishing and Games were never in short supply. She loved to "make people happy."
When Walter Ray would come to the farm for the summer, she would love to play with him and take him fishing on the McKenzie River. She taught herself to crochet, and everyone she met got coasters, hangers and doll accessories all made with love.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her brother, Walter, dad Walter and mom Verena Henderson. She is survived by her nephew Walter Ray Henderson, wife Bambie Lyn Henderson, her grand-niece Krysta Gail Evans, and her children Jack Jamison and Walker Ray Evens.
Bonnie attended First Baptist Church until her mother's passing at 90yrs. She enjoyed going to church, then to Vida Cafe for lunch.
With so many memories and love, Bonnie will be dearly missed.
