Larry "Poppy" Wayne Sims, age 78, left us on September 16, 2025, in Auburndale, FL. Born on April 24, 1947, in Winter Haven, FL
Poppy was a family man at heart, He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lulan and Doris Sims, sister Beth Mock as well as his cherished wife, Gail Sims, and daughter, Tammy Sims. He leaves behind two sons, Ronnie (Sylvia) and Michael ( Jackie), three beautiful granddaughters, Shaina (Chad), Samantha, and Ronni, along with his great-grandchildren—Wyatt, Jensen, Luna, Jasper, and Nate—who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. He also leaves behind his brother David Sims (Pat)
Larry was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Larry is remembered fondly by his nieces, nephews, and a multitude of other loving family and friends.
Larry "Poppy" Wayne Sims will be deeply missed. His memory is safely tucked away in the hearts of those who loved him.
