Mementos

David F. Orszak passed away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 84.  He was born in Chicopee on May 27, 1941 to Joseph and Natalie (Rzasa) Orszak.  Dave served his country in the United States Coast Guard for 23 years and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He was active in the Retired Military Officer Association and the International USCG Lightship Sailors Association.  He was predeceased by his first wife Dolores (Requena) and brother Robert. He leaves his daughter, Diana Orszak, sister, Joan Blake (George), sister-in-law, Marilyn Orszak and several nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his wife Patricia, whom he met at their class reunion 25 years ago, and family Lynn, Lori and her husband Tim.  He also leaves his grandchildren, Sarabeth and husband; Nick, and Donald, along with a great-grandchild, Finnley.  At Dave's request, there will be no wake. A celebration of Life will take place at St. Thomas Church in Palmer on Friday, September 26 at 11 a.m.  He will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas Church, 1076 Thorndike St., Palmer MA 01069.  The family would like to thank the caring staff at the D'Amour Cancer Center and Quaboag Skilled Care Facility for the care that Dave received throughout his journey.
